About DAVID SCAMURRA

Growing up in Mississauga, David spent most of his time playing competitive hockey in the GTHL. Through his teen years he then moved on to spend time with Junior and Major Junior hockey teams such as, Oakville Blades, Ottawa 67's, Kingston Frontenacs, Gatineau Olympiques, and Niagara Falls Canucks.  Playing with and against players like, Patrick Kane, PK Subban, Steven Stamkos, John Tavares, Cameron Talbot, Claude Giroux, Logan Couture, and Jamie McGinn. For the next 10+ years after hockey, David opened his own goalie School and also had roles of Assistant Coach & Goalie Coach for teams such as Oakville Blades, Toronto Marlboros & Markham Majors.  After Stepping away from the game, David moved into the Real Estate World, to work alongside his brother Jonathan.  David has had great success in his new Career, and is enjoying life as a Realtor.

"I faced many challenges during my hockey career.  When I was 16 years old, I suffered from a bone infection that ultimately shattered two vertebras in my spine, which then led to a potentially fatal blood infection.  I was told I wouldn't play hockey again....  Within 6 months, I was back on the ice.  I went out as an undrafted goalie to tryout for the Oakville Blades. I signed with Oakville Blades, and was later drafted that same year as an over ager in the 6th round to Ottawa 67's.  I get a lot of my competitive drive from hockey, and I love being able to translate that into my real estate career.  I love setting goals, and helping other's reach theirs too"
